Fin mars 1996, Jonathan Pontier finissait en hâte un choral pour orchestre à cordes qu’il intitulait « …pourquoi la musique contemporaine ne tombe t-elle jamais sur les temps ? » qui allait être crééé à peine plus d’un mois après à l’amphitéâtre Richelieu à l’université Paris-Sorbonne, par l’orchestre Legato sous la baguette de Jean-Luc Tingaud.

By the end of March 1996, Jonathan Pontier hastily finished a chorale for string orchestra entitled « …why does contemporary music never fall on times ? » which was premiered just over a month later at the Richelieu Amphitheater, Paris Sorbonne University by the Legato Orchestra under the baton of Jean-Luc Tingaud.
